December 2015 Highlights

Hello everybody !

Is it really almost Christmas ? Yikeees. I have been busily doing this and that around here.

I wanted to share some pages I put together for my last Project Life Creative Team assignments. Where did this year go ?  I am very sad that my time is ending but am so very thankful for this wonderful opportunity.

Every year I make a December Daily album to document the month of December. To go along with that I usually make a couple regular Project Life pages. This year will be no different. I've already done a few using mostly the new Heidi Swapp value kit called Oh What Fun Christmas. I tried to look for it locally here but couldn't find it so I printed it out from the digital version.

Here is what both pages look like. I love the simpleness of it with a hint of gold here and there.

I combined some of my favorite moments from the early part of the month.

This title card is from the Heidi Swapp Oh What Fun Christmas kit. I added the 2015 for the year, the star, and the stamp at the top.

I recently stopped in to Starbucks to get one of their pastry bags to use in my December Daily album. They have these cute snowman cookies so I had to get one.

The journaling card summarized what these pages are about. I wanted to add a touch of gold to match the title card. I used the silkscreen from Ali Edwards Story kit and it turned out perfect.

Here is the bottom part of the first page. A friend and I went out for some shopping and one of the stores had an amazing Christmas window display. I wanted to move in.

Another look. A photo of the three kids from our family photo shoot.

We went to have breakfast with Santa the first week of December. I added the believe stamp to the bottom of this journaling card.

Moving on to the second page. Filled with twinkle lights, and more photos from our photo shoot.

I had some fun during our photo shoot. I added the word merry from the digital kit. I love how it helps tie in the gold theme.

I added in this big journaling card to help bring the whole story together. It tells some fun details about how we are celebrating this December.  I added some more of the gold specks from the silkscreen I talked about above.

Our elf Harry is such a fun part of our December that I wanted to make sure that I included him in our families story. He is helping Katelyn with her math homework.

I love this christmas tree journaling card. I believe it is from the Stampin Up Seasons snapshot 2015 kit. I added the magic phrase from Ali Edwards magic story kit and a star on the top to finish it off.

I added a fun filler card and a picture of me getting the twinkle lights out.

There you have it. Thanks for coming everyone ! I have to finish up a quick assignment then I plan to get back to my December Daily album. I will be sharing that here soon with you as I tackle that. Take care and Happy Holidays.

December Daily 2014 | Days 22 - 24

Hello everybody !

Wow, I bet you thought that I had forgotten or abandoned the old blog huh ! Sorry about that. I will slowly be making my way back here to share with you over the next couple of months. December will mostly or might be all about December Daily.

Today I wanted to share some pages from my DD 2014 album. I created them for a Simple Stories assignment and I only have 2 more days to finish up and then it's done. I don't know why some years are harder to finish than others. Oh well.

Supplies are Simple Stories Claus & Co. The album is also Simple Stores 6x8 kraft and red.

Here is a look at Day 23.

Noah loves to take baths in my tub. So I said yes to his never ending requests and we had a great conversation while I folded laundry next door. I added in my favorite quote on the bottom card.

This next page or shall I say pages are all about our Elf Harry.

The right side is a 2x2 pocket page protector that I cut off the last 2 rows. I added in smaller photos, filler cards and a few see thru pockets.

Last year Harry got into a lot of trouble and had lots of fun while he was visiting our home. I wanted to document some of this because the kids sure do love Harry and seeing what he has been up to each night.

I blew up a picture of Harry about to get run over by the train. I cut it up and added to two pockets. I stapled the word believe onto the page protector with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher. Love that thing. That way it can be on both of the pictures.

The other side has more photos of Harry and more filler cards.

The next page I used one of the SN@P Journaling Pages and hand wrote what Harry had done for each day. I also added a few fun things here and there.

On the back of the Harry page I added a flip up picture. I really wanted to have a fun interactive page so I created this flip up.

This page was all about us making Santa cookies. I want to point out the red Dec 24 card. Simple Stories has a set of cards with numbers 1 - 25 on them which are so cool for December Daily.  Another thing I love are the chipboard stickers. I used the two stickers all about cookies. Couldn't have been more perfect.

The flip up page was real easy. I printed out my picture, then cut the patterned paper it was going on the same width. I measured it with a ruler and then used the ruler to fold it down so I could add the photo ontop.  I should have taken a photo of it, next time I will.

Here is what the inside looks like. Simple but done. Sometimes that is all you need.

That is it for me today. I only 2 more pages to finish up for my 2014 album. I have started 2015 and if my printer would stop running out of ink I could get some of that done too. ( It is time for a new printer ) I will share when I have some pages done.

Until then. I hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday season so far.
