Project Life Week 8

Hello everyone.

I was able to squeeze in some time to get my PL week 8 done.  I have to apologize if some, or most of you, are sick of seeing pictures of our new house. This week was almost all dedicated to it ! I just can't help but get excited about it all ! I didn't take many photos this week but knew that I had a ton of photos from the house. And it turned out great. I hope you like it.

Here is the first page.

I had the Becky Higgins Design B page protectors to work with from the previous week. And it turned out to be just what I needed. I had a lot of photos that I wanted to include for week 8.

The title card and the first photo. The photo is of an instagram I took of the girls. In between riding their bikes they came up with the idea to race Noah's cars down the driveway.

I cut out the yellow "awesome" banner from the Studio Calico Project Life kit.  To print out the instagram I simply cropped it to 4x4 and put it on a 4x6 layer, added my journaling and printed.

I held an imprompto mini photo shoot for Katelyn over the weekend. Just went to the side of the house and took some quick shots. I need some photos for her baptism (which happened last weekend) invitations. (In our church, they do this at age 8).

Added this great brush from Ali Edwards.

The second page. More house photos. I promise they will end, we are moving in soon !!

I wanted to include a visual- right on the picture of the "new" things that were happening with our new home this week, because as you can see a lot has happened.

Took the top half of a blank journaling card and printed it on it. Stapled it to the photo with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. Love that thing. It saves me a lot of time, just staple and your done.

Our kitchen as it looks right now. Took the word "Hello from the HELLO SCHOOL - Ali Edwards brush kit.

This is a bad shot of our backyard but it was all shady at the time that I was there.  I used an old frame from my stash to frame my journaling that I printed right on the photo. Again, used staples to attach. The banner "So Very Happy" is from the Studio Calico Kit."You could use the new Studio Calico frames for this type of look as well. Can't wait to get my hands on some of those.

** Sorry - this one didn't photograph well**

The kids always beg me to "Go see the house". Every day, it's never ending. And this scene is what you will usually see when we are out there. They gather up all the FUN things that you can find on an active construction site and make stuff with it.  They could literally be out there all day. So I wanted to get a photo of them out in the backyard "making stuff".

This first journaling card I used a sticker from October Afternoon. Added my journaling and the wood arrows from Studio Calico.
The second one is some paper from Dear Lizzy, the brads are also from Lizzy.

I stapled a business card onto one of the journaling cards from our trip out to the home and Garden Show. Fun way to remember that we received lots of these. It was so much fun !!
The second card I used the home brush from Karla Dudley. You can find it here.  It is part of her Christmas brush collection. I turned the color to gray and added the words to the top.

That is it for week 8. I am going to see if I can get a start on week 9 soon. But we are hoping to move in next weekend, pending what day we get the keys to our new house. This will be the last post for a little while until I can hook up the computer and un-bury all my scrapbooking supplies. Please be patient with me as me and my family start fresh in our new home. I will be back, maybe soon with moving pictures !! Until then, carry on and keep scrapbooking.

Project Life Week 7/Valentine's Day

Welcome to week 7 and Valentine's Day. How is everyone ? I am good, surrounded by boxes and chaos, and appointments, and phone calls and then you throw real life in the mix and it is just crazy !! Oh and then add in a birthday party and my middle childs birthday today and company coming into to town today !! EEK !!

Anyways, let's get on with it. I am going to be brief today. So please, PLEASE, don't hesitate to ask questions if you've got 'em. I will take time to answer. But time is very limited these days.

I did a "Normal" week spread the week of Valentine's Day and here it is. I used the back side of week 6 where I used Design G.

Noah caught getting into the cupboard. Happens all the time.

Katelyn took this shot of me.

Daddy trying to drag a few kids around.

The journaling cards.

The second page of Week 7.

Katelyn turned 8 years old this week.

We went to the park on Katelyn's birthday. I did a collage of pictures from the park.

The weekly house shot.

Journaling cards. The first one I used a filler card from the Seafoam kit.
The second card talks about our cabinets going in.

The first card is from the SC PL kit. The second kit is also from the SC Kit. Journaled on the bottom about getting a babysitter and going out dancing at our church.

Now I want to move onto my Valentine's Spread.

This card is from the SC PL kit. Put the DINNER brush on, added the heart and added my instagram photo.

Hearts. I love them.

The first card is a heart overlay from Fancy Pants. Added the heart that I used to decorate our dinner plates with. The other card is an instagram pic of our dinner lighting.

These two cards were from the SC PL kit.

The second page of my Valentine's Spread. I wanted to use some of the horizontal journaling cards that came in the SC PL kit.

Title card.

Journaling card and photo.

More journaling cards and photos.

That is it. Have a great weekend. And again, if questions please leave a comment.
