Project Life Week 3

Week Three | January 16-22

This week is more full of words and less pictures. Maybe to many words to tell you the truth. I added a lot of scrappy embellishments this week, to my pictures and such.  There was a lot of "Stuff" that I wanted to include and I got it all in there. So I am happy with the result.

HERE IS THE FIRST PAGE  :

THE PICTURES :

Wii playing has been the obsession this week. Especially Super Mario Bro. And they giggle and chuckle as they play. I love to listen to them. The circle embellishment is from the Clementine Digital Extra Embellishments kit. The word chuckle is from Heidi Swapp, from way back.  Also experimented with my picture being square and having a white border. Might do more of these.

I got so fed up with Noah getting in the pantry all day long that I came up with a way to keep the child proof locks on the doornob, use Duct Tape. So happy now.

The word SERIOUSLY and the squiggly line is from the Cobalt Digital Extra Embellishment kit.

Everyday Life Journaling Prompts Brushes And Stamps.  Cut and moved the words around to work in my space. Star is from Fancy Pants.

Maddie surprised us all when she came out of her room dressed(as she put it), LIKE A ROCK STAR). Patrick had some music one and so she was pretending to be a rock star. She played her air guitar and even sang us a song !!

THE JOURNALING CARDS :

White letters are from American Crafts. Stars from Jenni Bowlin. The yellow sticker and the polka dot sticker are from October Afternoon Farmhouse series. The Stamp is from We R Memory Keepers. Stitching down the side.

Note from Self is from JilliBean Soup. Used a filler card and then took one of the creme journaling cards for my printed journaling.

Used Cathy Zielske's Tiny Templates for this journaling card space. They are tiny 3x4 photo templates. Just add your photo and journaling and print. Stickers both from October Afternoon.

Ice Cream Sundaes at McDonalds.

The grey banner stamp and the word Favorite are from My Minds Eye Happy Days Stamp set. The yellow diamond is from October Afternoon Flag set. The letter stickers are from October Afternoon.

HERE IS THE SECOND PAGE :

THE PICTURES  :

Scalloped circle and happy banner from October Afternoon Farmhouse series. Mini paper clip from Tim Holtz. The LOVE THIS is from the Cobalt Digital Extra Embellishments kit.

Embracing The Everyday Brushes And Stamps.  Took Maddie in to the doctors for her hands. Got a prescription cream.

Another picture with a white border. Printed out some of the Clementine Digital Paper and used a punch on the one side. The Hobby sticker is from October Afternoon.

My First Design Team Assignment.

We were SOOOO close to going to the SUPER BOWL !! Still don't want to talk about it. Have been a 49ers fan for a very long time and especially now. Because their Quarterback is Alex Smith. He played for our hometown University of Utah Utes and took us to the Fiesta Bowl and busted our team into the BSC. Here's hoping for next year !!

Used a 4x6 free template from Paisley Press. Go here to dowload the free template.

THE JOURNALING CARDS :

This journaling card was kind of WEEK IN REVIEW card for this week.

For this card I started out with a journaling card that came in the core kit. Printed off a strip of the Clementine Paper because I wanted to get some of the pink color on this card. Added the butterfly sticker from October Afternoon Farmhouse. Printed out the TAKE NOTE circle embellishment(came from a freebie journaling card), also changed the colors of it. I searched high and low trying to find the original source of the freebie journaling card but no such luck. Stars from Jenni Bowlin.

Freebie from scrapbookprintables . Loved this saying and it is was quite fitting with what I was feeling this week as a mother. Changed the colors to match the Clementine colors.

Used another Cathy Z. Tiny Templates for this photo of Noah in the tub.

Added Maddie's Prescription to the journaling card.  Used a Tim Holtz mini paper clip.

And that is all of Week 3. Just started Week 4. I have been trying to catch up on some house/life stuff that had been neglected lately. Also had a wonderful, fun weekend with the kids/family. It was definitely needed !!

Project Life Week 2

Week 2 | January 9 - 15

Week 2 is done. I really had fun putting it all together. WAY to much fun, which is why it took me forever to put it together. I added things, took them away, moved stuff around, ect. I think I have figured out what I love and what I don't. So next week should go much faster. Let's hope. Here we go.

The first page :

Trucks. My iphone. Working on the computer. Patrick and Maddie on the ipad.

The pictures :

Noah's trucks that he loves to push around. The scalloped circle and heart from October Afternoon. I am in love with their farmhouse line. The colors are just about a perfect match to the Clementine kit. Monday sticker from Jillibean soup. ** Note : Learned this week that I need to buy a small heart punch. In love with these little hearts.

Patrick comes home for lunch when he works in the office. They spent some ipad time together. Days + Months Hand drawn brushes.

The journaling cards

Took a heart from Ali Edwards Life In Pictures Brushes And Stamps . Added the word iphone. Sticker from October Afternoon Flyer Pack . Love this pack.

This one is from This great freebie.
Changed the color of the star to match my week. This whole week was great and this card was perfect to sum up my feelings.

Used a doile from Little Yellow Bicycle. The circle sticker from Crate Paper. The black letters from Thickers. The blue letter stickers from October Afternoon.
This is one of those foldable journaling cards. I knew I needed more room for the story of taking Noah in to the ER and this was perfect.

I used the digital card as a reference for my journaling and just left some room in the middle of the card so that I could fold it. Ran it through my printer.

Continued on the backside. Included his arm band on the back.

I took the top off of the original pink card and put it on to a plain grid card so that I could have more room to journal. The arrows are from the Clementine digital extra elements set. Colored them in to match my colors for the week. Told two stories on one journaling card.  Using the arrows to point to the pictures. Included the dates with the number stickers.

I added one inserts this week. We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary this week. So I took Patrick out with the camera and tripod for a photo. It is 6x12.

The other side. I copied and pasted journaling from a blog post that I written that week. Used a Words and Stories 6x12 Layered Template.  Moved some things around to meet my needs.Used some of my My Minds Eye stash. Simple and done.

The second page :

The park. Patrick at early morning rig up. The coil that Patrick works with. Playing trains on the floor with Noah and Maddie. Design team meeting. Anniversary food.

The pictures :

I LOVE that Patrick takes these kinds of pictures. This is his day and I love that I can include that in my album. This is the coil that they send down the oil well.

The Journaling Cards :

I love this thread. It's called Divine Thread and they have all the colors that match the Clementine kit. I used the star stamp underneath my journaling. Just stamped it on before sending it through the printer. The blue letter stickers are from Authentique.  Small sticker from October Afternoon Farmhouse.

Smash pad sheet from here. Bought at Amazon but you can find them at scrapbook.com, ect. Letter stickers from October Afternoon.

I used another one of the foldable journaling cards. This one will be filled out by Patrick about the job he was working on. Scalloped circle from Jillibean Soup. Yellow thickers. Blue letter stickers from American Crafts. Added a rubon arrow.

Printed of a little strip of the digital paper from the Clementine digital paper kit. The yellow on the top. Need to maybe get the paper pack. Label from October Afternoon. Blue sticker words from Authentique.  Creme letter stickers from October Afternoon. The red heart from October Afternoon Farmhouse Flower Stack. LOVE this pack !! The colors are perfect for this album and I am in love with these cute little hearts.

Well that covers Week 2. As you can see I used three main colors this week. Went with them based on my photos and love the result. See you all next time.

This and That

Put this wreath up this week for Valentine's Day. Bought one of those Command self adhesive hangers to stick on the door. LOVE IT !!

Finding myself on the floor most days playing trains with Noah

Super, super excited about the upcoming San Fransisco 49 rs playoff game on Sunday.

Trying to prepare, print photos, gather supplies for an all day crop tomorrow.

Maddie went willingly to preschool this morning and so grateful for that. It's been a struggle lately.

Took Maddie in to the dermatologist yesterday for her hands. Got a prescription for some creme. She can't wait to get the warts off her hands. We have to do a few at a time. At night I have to put the creme on and then a band aid on top.

Love listening to Katelyn read lately.

Turned in my first Design Team layout this week

Organizing my scrap space. Bought a new bookcase for the closet and now have some extra space.  The kitchen is next. And then the rest of the house. It is one of my main new years resolutions.

Love watching my home team The Utah Jazz lately. Playing pretty good as of late.

Love have this truck on loan. Patrick will have his own April/Mayish. We can't wait.

Still loving the winter weather here. Much better than at home.

These boots have been camped out by the front door lately. Getting lots of use.

Wanted to jot some things down today and share with you all. Like I mentioned earlier, I am trying to prepare for my crop tomorrow and so will not be posting again until later next week. I just barely started on my week 2, I know. Not off to a good start but that's life. As I type this, I have a little one grabbing at my arm. So I need to run. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and go do some scrappin'.

Project Life Week 39

Week 39. September 26 - October 2.

Two visits to the County Fair this week meant lots of fair pictures. First visit with the preschool, took the kids on a field trip with two other mom's. The second one was a family trip. Katelyn's school was having a reading-a-thon. And she had to read 200 minutes to get a ticket to the fair. And she did it ! We have always attended the fair back home and so we didn't want to break our tradition.

Here is the first page.

I only used one digital brush on my pictures this week. To much else going on and I am perfectly ok with that. I used lots of colors this week, drawing from the pictures for inspiration. I like how everything came together though.

The pictures :

All the preschool kids in front of the cows

Everday Life Journaling Prompts Brushes and Stamps

Noah making big bubbles

The journaling cards :

My Minds Eye Happy Days Stamps . Sticker from Jillibean Soup.

The kids were scared of this bird. Thinking it was Nigel from Rio. If you have ever seen you will know why they were scared !!

Free download over at Two peas Journaling card. Used the free download, changed the color. Added the sticker from Jillibean Soup. The number stickers from October Afternoon.

Orange squiggly line from the Cobalt edition digital extra elements. All the stickers down at the bottom from Jillibean soup.

The second page :

The pictures :

Katelyn and her new best friend - the reindeer - found each other in the petting zoo. There were tears when she asked to take her home and I said NO !

Had a few extra pictures I wanted to include so I made a collage of two 3x4 pictures.
Noah loved the turkeys and kept trying to talk to them in his turkey voice.

The night life at the fair is always great. Another collage.

The turkey races were great. They trained the turkeys to follow the remote controlled monster truck with food in the back.

The journaling cards :

Printable Journaling Card Kit . From Jessicasprague.com. The saying come with the kit. Number stickers from October Afternoon.

Used one of the extra cards from the core kit. A sticker from Jillibean soup. The green letters are from Jillibean Soup. Love how this week kind of all coordinates using these stickers.  Black letter stickers are American Crafts Thickers.

Circa' 2012 Documents.
Printed the label, cut it out and put in on the journaling card. Tickets from Maya Road.

Numbers from the core kit. Star stamp from My Minds Eye happy day stamp set. Wonderful stamp from Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday.

That is it for Week 39. Working on my Week 2 of 2012. How is everyone's albums coming along? Are you participating this year ? I am still loving this project, even though I fell behind this year due to our move.  I am having so much fun reading all the project life inspiration going on out there in cyber space. Take care now.
