Do Do Mommy

A few days ago Maddie(as soon as she got up) kept saying "do do mommy." She is at that stage right now where she can communicate most of what she wants to say and what she needs. Although there are a few things she can't. That is where the frustration on everyone's part comes in. I didn't know what she wanted. She kept taking me into the front room by the coffee table and saying "do do mommy. " After about a half an hour it came to me that she wanted to dance with me. Why she was calling it "do do" was still a mystery though. Well, that was until I started dancing with her and humming the tune
that I sing. I dawned on me at that
moment. I was humming "Do dee do dee do, and so on !! I picked her up. swung her around and she was so delighted that I had figured out what she wanted. And since then I know what she is saying when she wants to dance !!

Walking with Dinasours

At the last minute we decided to get tickets for the "Walking with the dinosaurs", at Energy Solutions Arena. Katelyn is currently obsessed with dinosaurs. She watches the Land before time movies everyday and has the little people dinosaur set. So she knows some of the different kinds of dinosaurs that there are. She was had been so excited for two days. The night before she got sick, I took her in to the doctors in the morning. She had gotten strep. I was thinking great, we have these tickets and they were not cheap. Well I decided to take her anyways. As you can see she feel asleep on the drive up there. Poor baby !! I felt so bad for her. I carried her all the way in to the arena. Not an easy task, especially almost 5 months pregnant. The show was already started and from that moment on Katelyn was mesmerized, most of the time standing up in the aisle. She asked so many questions, what are the dinosaurs doing mommy, what are they going to do next, etc. The dinosaurs were HUGE, life size actually, and amazing realistic. Katelyn called each one as if they were straight from the "Land before time movie". For instance the baby long neck is called Little foot and so on. I was so amazed by these dinosaurs. It was one amazing show. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of the actual dinasaurs themselves, but apparently our new camera is horrible in the dark. Oh well. Katelyn is still talking about all the dinosaurs. (Oh, we went last Saturday to the show).

IT'S A BOY

I can't even begin to express our excitement today when we found out that we were having a boy !! The technician made the announcement when she said that she knew that we have never seen this on an ultrasound before. I looked over to see what she was talking about !! Well everyone is so excited, all but Katelyn. She wants a baby sister and started to cry when we told her that she was to have a baby brother !! Poor thing, oh well. With two girls, I think it is time for a boy don't you think !! I do, and I am glad that he will be joining the family. Afterward, we went to Babies R Us to get him his first outfit. It is a tradition that we started with Katelyn. With this being my first boy and having nothing for him I wanted to buy the whole store ! But I found some adorable "BLUE" clothes for him to wear. Well, just wanted to share our great news with everyone.

Daddy Home !!

We have been so fortunate to Daddy home for part of the day while he is out of school. He works from 6 -10 am and then comes home until he has to go back to work from 4- 8 pm. Every time Patrick comes home Maddie says daddy home, daddy home! It is so cute. Yesterday we played hide and go seek all together. It was Patrick and Katelyn's turn to hide. Me and Maddie went around the house looking for them. Here is where we found Katelyn (she is not very good at the game yet, she giggles and most of the time says here I am). Daddy was giving clues away - see the picture. Yes, those are his toes. Maddie thought that it has hilarious. She figured out that he is was in the closet, but couldn't get the door opened. I helped her of course and then we found daddy. It is always much more fun when daddy is home to play with us as well. We all have enjoyed having daddy home and will be very sad to see him go back to school next week.

The new addition to the family

Let me start off by saying Happy New Year everyone.
I am sure you are wondering what this is all about. It looks like a regular printer right, wrong. It is a very special and most of the time very expensive printer. In the scrapbooking world, this baby is the holy grail of printers. Let me explain. A regular printer can only print 8.5 by 11. This printer can print, and do photos up to 13 by 19 !! Since I scrapbook 12 by 12 paper this gives me the freedom to print my journaling, titles anywhere i want. I have been looking for a small printer that I can take to scrapbooking parties on KSL and came across this baby !! It only cost me $60 !!! I was so excited I called the Lady right away and picked it up the next night after work, at nine o'clock, with the kids in their pajamas. I could not contain my excitement. A brand new printer like this one starts at about $300. I was so excited, it was like christmas morning !! Both kids fell asleep on the way home, so with them in bed, I went down and set her up. I got right down to business and tried her out and she did not disappoint !! I got started on this scrapbook page about Maddie - The title and the journaling were printed on my new printer !! I was up past midnight playing with my new printer. I am still so excited about my new toy. I just had to share. Oh, and these pictures were taken with my new camera, which I got from my mom, dad, and Rob. Thank you, thank you all !! I love it!!
