Fun Family photo shoot

So we went down for a fun family photo shoot. I originally just wanted to get the girls done with their favorite things and then it turned into a big family fun day. The first ones are of us in our fall outfits(we went outdoors later and took some fall pics). The next one was us in our RED UTAH UTES attire. Go Utes !! And then i think Katelyn is next with all her dinosaurs. Can you tell what she is into right now ? Maddie was so cute with her baby dolls. There were a few more that I wanted to post but decided not to. And then my cutey pie Noah. He was 3 months then and is usually all smiles. So that is our family in a nutshell right now. Loving life, staying busy, loving eachother. Until next time.

You are not alone

I had a little reality check yesterday up in Park City at the outlet mall and I am so glad that I did. Sometimes I think (okay, I admit it, most of the time) that my children are the worst children on the planet and how come I got stuck with them. Right, I know all of you have had these type of moments with your children. Well I was walking up the street pushing Noah in the stroller, Katelyn was whining because she didn't want to look for clothes for baby brother. She wanted to go to her surprise now(we were going to take Katelyn down the alpine slide). I think Maddie was being okay for the moment, that was because we had just stepped out of the car! So already Katelyn was on the verge of a major breakdown if we didn't pack up and take her straight to her surprise. To help in avoiding the breakdown I immediately told Patrick to take the girls to the park that they have. Crisis avoided thank heavens. So, back to the point. I was walking up the street when I overhear an obviously stressed out mother telling her young daughter (probably about Maddies age) that if she did not start behaving that she would take her shoes back. No more than a minute later I see another mother chasing a young boy down the street pleading with the child to come back to her. I just started laughing to myself as I pass the two of them parked on the side of the sidewalk while he gets a talking to. Oh, how many times has the situation been reversed. Has it been me sitting in the middle of the aisle at target giving Katelyn a time out right there in the store. Think of this story the next time you have to chase your child or bribe them to be good and remeber that you are not alone !!

Noah's Blessing

We blessed Noah last Sunday and it turned out to be a great day. Some of Patrick's siblings(and families) were in town so we decided to bless him while they were here so that they could share in this special day. This first picture was of all the grandkids that were here. It was so neat to have all of them here with us. All the kids had a great time playing with each other. I am so thankful for a great husband that is so faithful to the church. He did a wonderful job blessing Noah. Noah is such a blessing and I am so grateful to have him here with us.

For Today

Outside my window - it is still dark as
I sit here and type this. I hear the birds
chirping and the dogs barking.

I am thinking - about how I wish I was asleep
right now, in my nice comfy bed
(being it is five thirty in the morning).
and Noah just hanging out next to me.

I am thankful for - That Patrick doesn't have
to work for the next three days and for the time
that we can spend together as a new family of
5.

From the kitchen - Actually tomorrow it will
be homemade enchiladas with my own homemade
enchilada sauce.

I am wearing - blue polka dotted pajama bottoms,
my Creating keepsakes university t-shirt and
my glasses

I am creating - Patrick's mountain biking
layout downstairs

I am going -to definitely get a nap tomorrow

I am reading - my Creating Keepsakes magazine
that just came yesterday

I am hoping - that Noah will be getting tired
soon

I am hearing - sweet little baby noises

Around the house - there are dinosaurs all
over the living room floor

One of my favorite things - Ice cream for dessert

A few plans for the rest of the week - Take the
kids to chucky cheese's tomorrow, maybe go out for
breakfast, bbq at my parents and then all the
fun stuff to celebrate for the fourth of July.

As you can see we have been playing with our new camera. The ones of the kids are so precious to me. To see their faces light up when they came to see him just melts my heart. We also took a few shots of sweet baby Noah. He is the quietest babies and does not really cry that often. Well i must go, i can't keep my eyes awake !!! Maybe another update tomorrow when we get him home.

Noah's Arrival

He's here !! He was born today at 3:15 p.m. weighing in at 6 pounds 15 oz. and 20 inches long. We are so excited to have him here with us. Everything went well except that he came out sideways and face up !! Babies usually come out face down. So he has a huge bruise on his head and his face was also swollen for a while. I felt so bad for him but he is sleeping peacefully now and the bruise will fade and be gone in a couple days. I am doing well and am so excited to have my little boy here in my arms. More to come in the next couple of days. So long for now.

The air show at Hill Air Force Base

We went up to see the air show Saturday. It was so much fun to see all the planes out there. There were so many people there !! The girls and Patrick first went into the KC135 big plane and they got to sit in the cockpit and they liked that. We then went around looking at all the planes until it was time for lunch. After lunch they had a few more planes up in the air. The girls loved the smaller planes that did loopdy loops and curly q's (that is what we called the tricks). It was then time for the main event - The thunderbirds. They are F-16 planes that they have painted to look like birds on the bottom of the plane. (Uncle Tyler flys the F-16's for the Air Force). They were amazing planes, but very loud. We brought ear protectors for both of the girls and that helped alot. There were six thunderbirds up in the sky at one time. They flew upside down, sideways and did tricks with eachother during the show. We left at that time and stopped to get Katelyn some planes to play with at home, she has not put them down since! Maybe she'll be a pilot !! Well it was a great day.

P.S. Stay tuned tomorrow for baby pictures tomorrow. We are going in to the hospital in the morning.

My new camera

Last weekend we finally broke down and bought a SLR camera. We both have been wanting one for a very long time now and figured with the new baby coming why not. So here I am looking through it. I just want to say that I love, love, love it. It takes absolutely gorgeous pictures and it takes them so much faster than my point and shoot. You push the button and it takes the picture, no waiting time. And you can take multiple pictures right in a row. I have been taking so many pictures that I need to get them loaded on the computer to show you. I am so thrilled to have my new play toy !!

The Dinasour museum

We have been wanting to take Katelyn down to the dinosaur museum for the longest time. So since I don't work on Saturdays anymore we headed down to see the dinosaurs. Katelyn was so excited the whole time, she loved every minute of it. Since she knows the names of all the types of dinosaurs she would go around and say " that is a long neck mommy"!! She loved to see all the different dinosaur bones and even Maddie enjoyed it. They have a place where you can go and uncover the dinosaur bones and the girls loved that. So it was a hit as i knew it would be.

Update

I know it has been a while but I thought that I would write a little about what is happening in our lives right now. As for me, today was my last day of work !! I am so thrilled to be able to stay at home with the kids now. Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks along and I am so ready to have Noah come out !! We are going in on June 10th, that is if i can't coax him out sooner, to be induced. I can't wait, this time around it has been so much harder. It must be a boy thing or something I don't know. Patrick is out of school for the summer and we are so enjoying seeing him in the mornings before he goes in for work. He is super stoked about the summer being here and being able to ride his mountain bike. Katelyn finished up preschool and is becoming such a good little helper. I can't believe how big she is getting. She still loves dinosaurs, her tools, and I am slowing teaching her how to read. Maddie is my little sweetheart/comedian. She is so funny. At the moment she can most likely be found dressed in nothing or her swimsuit. She is in love with all her babies and plays with them all day long. She can pretty much tell me what she wants now and is pretty good for the most part. I think that it is for now. Just thought I would write a little something for you all.

Pregnancy photos

I got brave a couple weeks ago and went in and had a few pics of me taken by the same woman that did the girls's pictures. She did a wonderful job and I am glad that I have some pregnancy pictures of me this time around. This might be the last time !! Some people wanted to see them. So here are a couple of my favorites. I was at 33 weeks along then and am now almost 36 !! I can't believe Noah will almost be here soon. Can't wait to meet you little guy.

Senior Design Day at the U

For Patrick's Senior design project he and his team were to build a few robots. One was the cutie bot robot (third picture) - he would bring this one home to work on all the time. The girls loved to see it !! The other one was the "Wall-E" robot - which was everyone's favorite. The team named him Mech - E because of mechatronics (that is what they were doing). He can lift his arms and eventually pick something up and put it in his pouch - just like Wall-E !! So cool and the Katelyn really liked him. She begged Patrick to let her take him home. This past Wednsday they had Senior Design day up at the U so I packed up the girls and we were off to see daddy and his robots. It was really exciting to see the end result of all of his hard work. We are so proud of you Patrick.
